FFU what is an important document, the new EMMC to play what role? There are already some FFU files in the UFI EMMC BOX hosting platform folder. These built-in FFU files may support the old EMMC. For ever-changing new EMMCs, they certainly can not be used. How to get FFU files from the new EMMC, Use UFI to dump it? The instrument does not support the EMG BGA221, for the Samsung BGA153 / 169EMMC should support it, such as the most commonly used Samsung KLMBG / CG / DG-B041 series of EMMC package BGA153, UFI dump these EMMC FFU file? After the deposit is successful, can UPDATA FW next time? If UFI can not dump FFU files of these new EMMCs, can BOOT1 / 2, EXD-CID, RPMB operation to EMMC be done? Some new Samsung(SEC) eMMC does not accept the custom command, which mean they changed the firmware and close the backdoor. because the backdoor is closed, we can't resize boot.

But for standard command such as read, write, erase it still and always will work since the emmc is backward compatible to eMMC 4.5 spec.

About the firmware dump, this button was made for research. The RAM dump which is contains firmware and some garbage. For old devices, this dump is just plain firmware dump. but for new devices, more work has to do to use the dump as firmware(ffu). We're still working on this research and other work too.
