UFI Box Not Working on Latest Windows Update – Compatibility Issue

UFI Box is currently facing critical issues on the latest versions of Windows. One of the major problems is that the tool throws an error while performing EXT-CSD dump write operations. This issue has persisted through the last two updates and remains unresolved.

Additionally, the tool does not function properly on the latest Windows builds (such as Windows 11 22H2/23H2). Due to this incompatibility, we are forced to disable Windows updates or roll back to older versions of Windows just to continue using the tool, which is not a sustainable solution.

Hi,
Inside the ext_csd file, there are boot and rpmb configurations which sometimes with different sizes.
FYI, not all Samsung chips can resize the boot and rpmb areas according to the information in the ext_csd file due to the size limitations of the chip itself.
As long as the boot and rpmb sizes are supported by the chip, errors during writing the ext_csd file will not appear.
However, even if an error is displayed in the log, the boot configuration has actually been written successfully.
So next time, carefully observe the changes in the boot configuration after writing the ext_csd file.

I can confirm that UFi software is fully working until Windows 11 23H2 atm, we're working on a better solution to address the limitations of each operating system.
In the future, we'll be able to access the UFI Box software on the new platform we're currently developing, from any device you own.
So for now, please stick with Windows 11 23h2 or Windows 10.
